Progress update #4 on our new manufacturing centre.
The structure is up and cladding has begun. Another key feature we have added is a tensioned wire cable sitting 1m high above the centre of the roof ridge, called a life line. This will be used as a sliding anchor point for roof maintenance and future solar panel install. Planning for the future and the journey towards net zero.
One of our biggest challenges at the moment is wind, our 14m - 16m long wall cladding and 15m long roof sheets, take a lot to hang onto 16m above the ground, we are constantly monitoring the wind sock. All of our staff and trades are up to the challenge.

It is in the air now, with 4 of 16 bays of structural steel now complete. The moving production line is going to be 120.7m long and have the capacity for 32 homes on the factory floor at once.
What better viewing perspective than hovering next to the 16m high structure looking through the front window of a helicopter.

After the foundations comes the structural steel, which is big and strong to be able to hold our 2 x 25 tonne dual winch gantry cranes. At a giant 16m tall, we will have the capability to stack 3 storey modular buildings underneath the gantry in our controlled environment.

We've begun building our new state of the art modular manufacturing centre right here in Shepparton.
We are really excited by how much this new facility will increase our capacity, and increase our efficiencies in manufacturing modular buildings.

Wow what a busy weekend it was at the Melbourne Home Show, and what a big team effort it was!
